Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“policy”) forms part of your agreement with Outshore Services Limited (“we”, “our”) and applies to all services and platforms we provide (“services”). By using the services you agree to follow this policy. If you breach it, we may suspend or terminate the services in line with our Terms of Service.

We may update this policy at any time by posting a revised version on our website and giving at least 14 days’ notice by email. Continued use after that date means you accept the changes.

The services must be used only for lawful business purposes. You must not:

  • transmit, store or distribute material that infringes copyright, trade marks or other IP rights;
  • publish or share content that is obscene, offensive, defamatory, misleading, hateful or otherwise unlawful;
  • impersonate any person or entity without clear consent; or
  • breach any export‑control, privacy or consumer‑protection laws.

System and network security
You must not:

  • access or attempt to access any system, data or network without permission;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network or bypass authentication measures;
  • monitor data or traffic on any network without authorisation;

Violations may be referred to law‑enforcement agencies.

Unsolicited messages and spam

You must comply with the NZ Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 and any equivalent laws in other jurisdictions.

Prohibited software and activities
You must not advertise, transmit or make available any software, script or service designed to:

  • facilitate spam, phishing, malware or ransomware;
  • enable unauthorised access, password harvesting, SQL injection, DNS spoofing, session hijacking or similar attacks;
  • disrupt or circumvent security controls.

Fraud and unauthorised use
You must not attempt to obtain services or avoid payment by any deceptive or unauthorised means, nor may you access, alter or destroy data belonging to us or any other client.

Content standards and minors
You are responsible for all content transmitted or stored via the services. You must:

  • protect minors (persons under 18) from accessing unsuitable material;
  • ensure no material could be considered threatening, indecent, discriminatory or otherwise objectionable;
  • hold all necessary rights and permissions for any content you provide.

Authorised contacts and account security
We will only act on instructions from the authorised person(s) listed on your account. You must promptly update authorised contacts as needed and keep your login credentials secure. We may suspend or reset access details pending resolution of any dispute over account ownership.

Your responsibility for users
You are responsible for the actions of anyone who accesses the services using your credentials or systems, including employees, contractors and end‑users. You must ensure they comply with this policy.

Enforcement
We reserve the right to take any action we consider necessary to enforce this policy and protect our network, including:

  • immediate suspension or termination of all or part of the services without notice;
  • removal of offending content;
  • co‑operation with law enforcement or third‑party complainants.

Where practical we will give prior warning and an opportunity to rectify the breach, but we do not guarantee notice.
